National Hospital Week 2026: Healing Happens Here – Because Insight Drives Safer Care

Every May, the American Hospital Association invites the country to recognize the hospitals, health systems, and the people within them who make healing possible. This year’s theme: Healing Happens Here. It speaks to something that is both simple and profound. It acknowledges that hospitals are not just buildings. They are places where knowledge, judgment, and care converge every hour of every day to protect and restore human life.

At Prista Corporation, we work inside those places. Not at the bedside, but alongside the professionals whose work makes the bedside safer. This National Hospital Week, we want to recognize the people and the processes that rarely make the headlines, and honor the truth that healing does not happen by chance.

“Healing happens here – not by chance, but because quality, risk, patient safety, and performance improvement teams turn insight into action every day.” – Prista Corporation on National Hospital Week 2026

The Teams Who Make Healing Possible

When a patient walks through the doors of a hospital, they trust that the environment around them is safe, that the processes governing their care are sound, and that if something begins to go wrong, someone will notice and act. That trust is not built in the exam room alone. It is built by the teams who work tirelessly in the background to protect every patient who enters the system.

Anyone who walks into a hospital believes they are going to be healed – and rightly so.

Quality improvement professionals, risk managers, patient safety officers, and performance improvement leaders are the architects of that trust. Their work is data-driven, detail-oriented, and often invisible to the patients who benefit most from it. But the outcomes they produce are anything but invisible.

What Insight-Driven Healing Looks Like

The AHA’s theme this year resonates deeply with how we think about healthcare improvement at Prista. Healing does happen here – in hospitals, in clinics, in critical access facilities serving rural communities across the country. However, the conditions that make healing reliable and repeatable are created by people who turn signals into action before harm occurs.

In practice, that means:

  • Identifying near-misses and safety events before they escalate into harm

  • Translating incident data into corrective actions that change systems, not just behaviors

  • Monitoring compliance and quality metrics in real time so leadership can act with confidence

  • Building a culture of safety where reporting is valued and accountability is constructive

  • Connecting frontline observations to organizational improvement so the lessons of today protect patients tomorrow

This is the work that separates a healthcare organization that reacts to harm from one that consistently prevents it. And it is the work that ActionCue CI was built to support.

ActionCue CI: Built for the Work That Matters Most

ActionCue CI exists because the teams doing this work told us what they needed. A platform that is intuitive enough to use during a busy shift. Powerful enough to surface trends that would otherwise go unnoticed. And flexible enough to fit the workflows of both large health systems and the rural critical access hospitals that are the backbone of healthcare in communities across the country.

Today, ActionCue CI supports more than 170 facilities across 24 states. In every one of those facilities, quality and safety professionals are using the platform to do what they were trained to do – turn information into insight, and insight into safer care. Healing happens in those facilities because the right people have the right tools to act on what the data is telling them.

In the end…

To Our Partners, This Week and Every Week

National Hospital Week is a moment to say what is true every other week of the year: the work you do matters. To the CEOs who set the strategic direction and hold the mission accountable. To the Chief Quality Officers who build the systems that protect patients. To the risk managers who see the vulnerabilities before they become incidents. To every member of the quality, safety, and performance improvement team who shows up every day and does the work that most people never see.

Healing happens in your hospitals. It happens because of you. Prista Corporation is honored to be your partner in making it happen reliably, safely, and at scale.

Thank you for the work you do. We are proud to support it.
